Soy sauce ice cream “Sho-cream” Now on sale!

It is a soy sauce ice cream that Komao Murasaki (Re-brewed soy sauce) is added to farm freshly squeezed milk ice cream.

If you think “Why adding soy sauce to ice cream!? A funny combination!”, please do have a try. You will be surprised by the rich taste and deliciousness! You cannot stop eating it, it is a brand new taste! We are proud of this product and highly recommend it.

There are two kinds of soy sauce ice cream. One is “Mametsubu” flavor, added with aromatic soybeans grain. Another one is “Marble” flavor, which soy sauce mixed neatly with the ice cream like marble.

Until the soy sauce ice cream was created

May 2003
Ate natto (fermented soysbean) ice cream at Yaguchi Natto in Saitama. Although there is no sticky string inside but it is an ice cream with natto flavor. Very interesting. Therefore we decided to make soy sauce ice cream.

May – August 2003
We obtained soy sauce ice cream from other places, but none of them were pleasing us.

September – December 2003
We started to make handmade ice cream by mixing soy sauce and ice cream in our company. We found that there was an aromatic flavor when soybeans grained was added.

January 2004
We asked Hidaka Kato Farm to make the soy sauce ice cream and to take the order on quickly.

February 2004
We found that after adding the soybeans grain, the ice cream was aromatic but hard because it absorbed the water content.

March 2004
We found that the taste of ice cream would be very different according to the types of soy sauce adding to it.

April 2004
We decided to have two flavors for the soy sauce ice cream. One is “Mametsubu” flavor, added with soybeans grain. Another one is “Marble” flavor, which soy sauce mixed neatly with the ice cream like marble.

May 2004
We decided the types of soy sauce to add into the ice cream. 1 week later, we finally succeeded in making smooth ice cream with aromatic soybeans grain. Soy sauce ice cream was created!

1st June 20004~ We started to make the package, for example, cup seal.
22nd June 2004 We planned to produce soy sauce ice cream.
26th June 2004 We planned to sell soy sauce ice cream first in Kanto region!!
